Check out our February social media recap vlog to stay current on all updates in the digital world. Plus, we have a special guest joining us in this month’s episode!
Hi I’m Kristin and I’m Kelly. Welcome to this month’s edition of the Social Media Recap Vlog – where we discuss all things happening in the world of social media. Here’s the good, the bad and the ugly for February.
This month, Twitter changed their explorer page icon to a hashtag and their search icon will remain a magnifying glass. This is an effort to refresh their website.
Given the success of fundraising tools on Facebook, Instagram started testing donation stickers on Stories as a fundraising tool for organizations and personal causes.
Facebook groups have also added some new features to cater to admin’s needs. This includes more formatting options, testing brand collaborations, and improved communication features.
This month we’re kicking off a new segment, “Design-Behind-the-Social.” Here with a design tip to make your social posts even better is one of our very own graphic designers, Mike. Thanks for joining us, Mike.
Thanks for having me, Kristin.
Storytelling visually is a big part of social media, but connecting that visual message to your brand is a key component of all digital marketing. That’s where we come in.
Your graphics should convey a straightforward message with visually appealing imagery that helps to drive home the unique message of your story. This social media campaign for the American Frozen Food Institute’s recent convention features the business-centered nature of the meetings where all of the “key ingredients” in the industry gather with a light-hearted animation to tie together the brand with the events actual “USP.”
USP: Unique Selling Proposition
It’s nice to get a glimpse into the thought behind all the brand imagery we see on social. Thanks, Mike.
My pleasure.
So that’s it for February. Be sure to follow us on our many social platforms so you always stay in the know and never miss an exciting episode.
